PAG Consultancy works with a number of UK water utilities and one of the Channel Islands, with respect to the treatment of sewage sludge, to produce biosolids products which are compliant for recycling to agricultural land.  

The treatment and land recycling of biosolids, for agricultural benefit, is widely seen as the Best Environmental and Economic option for dealing with a potential tricky material.  In particular when the potential issues of organic contaminants, pathogens and heavy metal levels are thrown into the equation.  However, PAG Consultancy is fortunate to have one of the UK leading biosolids to land experts within our team, and therefore has extensive government funded research and consultancy experience of advising clients on the topic, recognised in February 2020 by the BBC in their Radio 4 documentary File on 4.   Our technical understanding of the processes and legislation controlling biosolids treatment and handling, along with a practical understanding of the agricultural requirements and soil science expertise has enables PAG Consultancy to deliver an on-going service to our clients and associated agricultural stakeholders.
